So i have the bad feeling we will see a rushed ending in this arc or when it comes to bad terms we will see NO ending. ALL other mangs were canceled in the middle. And there was only ONE manga which had a proper ending. Do not get me wrond i like this manga, but i know the other works of this author.

Comic Valkyre is pubslishing this manga for free since 2012. In my Opinion i have the feeling, the author want to bring this manga to an end. Some of it I think can also be attributed to how the information on what happened was reported. It was introduced to the west with this cloud over it and every time it tries to rise above or branch out in the west (such as the LN release) it gets reigned back under that cloud. I question if part of the reason it can't escape the shadow is because the anime (and scandal) was what introduced many people to Kokoro Connect. Hearing about the incident would probably be enough to turn some people away, but then they end up forming an opinion. It can never really escape the association, meaning that new people are generally introduced to it alongside the anime scandal. Looking at places like Reddit, anytime Kokoro Connect comes up you'll normally find someone referencing the incident not too far behind (and discussion of the incident seems to takeover the topic).
